SUPRINA Breaks the Track Record

Feb 21, 2022

After only breaking her maiden at her last start, progressive mare SUPRINA gave her rivals a galloping lesson as favourite over the 1000 metres at Queanbeyan yesterday.

Bouncing to the front from barrier 8, the pressure was applied by a couple of runners early, however Suprina and jockey Jess Taylor shook them off after straightening and it was only a matter of guessing how far she would win by for onlookers.

The answer was 8 lengths, a margin which saw her break the Queanbeyan track record on the Good 3.

A tried horse purchase by Jarrod Austin for clients, she has only been out of the placings twice in nine starts for her new connections.
