Jan 02, 2022

After his impressive win at Caulfield last start, Jarrod Austin and Looks Like Elvis' connections elected to return to Melbourne to tackle the time honoured Chester Manifold Stakes (Listed) at Flemington on New Year's Day.

Starting from barrier 11, jockey Luke Currie had to drop back in order to find cover, giving the favourite and eventual winner, Lighthouse a good start over the 1400m trip.

Elvis commenced a long and powerful sprint in the straight, passing most of the field to finish second, beaten only 1.25 lengths.

He started at the value odds of $8.50. This placing brings his total prizemoney up to $887,360.
