This quality filly is from the second crop of the brilliantly fast son of Kingman, Calyx. Calyx has made a phenomenal start to his career at stud in Europe, with 3 Group winners amongst 23 individual first crop two-year-old winners. In addition, Calyx produced Malc (2nd in the G2 Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot) and Eben Shaddad (3rd in the G1 Dewhurst Stakes). Therefore, Calyx has made a superior start at stud to his own sire Kingman, who produced 2 Group winners from his first crop of two-year-olds (including Calyx himself).
In Australia, Calyx has already produced an impressive trial winner at Rosehill for trainer John O’Shea, in the form of Getafix, who was also raised and grazed at Coolmore.
This filly is out of Redoute’s Choice-line mare Classic Vinegar who has produced a multiple winner from her only runner. Classic Vinegar herself was a four-time winner and placed in Hong Kong.
