Lightly raced 4yo ZAMBEZI RIVER, a son of the great I Am Invincible, put paid to his rivals at Goulburn over 1000m with a strong win. Second up from a long spell, he went one better than his first-up second at Wyong. Carrying top weight of 60kg, Zambezi River jumped well and shared the lead until the turn, when he drew away from his fellow pacemaker and fought off latecomers to score by 0.6l for jockey Keagan Latham.

Talented 4yo mare TERRA MATER has her owners very excited after winning the Provincial - Midway Championships Wild Card race at Newcastle on 3rd April. Starting at $3.60 second favourite, Terra Mater burst from the gates to the lead, but was then asked to settle behind the leaders over the 1400 metres. After turning into the straight, the mare was crowded for a run and jockey Nash Rawiller pushed through a small gap on the rails to regain the lead at the 100 metre mark. She fought off a late charge by the favourite Willinga Freefall and Terra Mater was the horse which earned the wildcard berth in the $1 million Polytrack Provincial - Midway Championships Final to be held at Royal Randwick on 13 April.

TERRA MATER Qualifies for Provincial - Midway Championships

Starting at the odds of $2.70, TERRA MATER brought up a seemingly effortless metro hat trick at Randwick on 6 January. Confidently ridden by Nash Rawiller, who guided her in her two previous wins this campaign, the daughter of Wandjina settled third in running and hooked out at the 300 metre mark to unleash her impressive sprint to score by an easy 1.2 lengths. From only 11 race starts, Terra Mater has never been out of the placings to-date with 5 wins, 5 seconds and 1 third. Jarrod and the big ownership group now look forward to the possibility of contesting stakes races in the future for this talented young mare.

TERRA MATER Continues Her Winning Run

Starting a $1.90 favourite in the 1400m Class 1 at Kembla on 9 December, Let's Go Bro brought up a track-to-track double for the Austin yard, with Terra Mater having won at Randwick earlier in the day. Ridden by Jess Taylor, who seems to have a good relationship with the 4-yo gelding, Let's Go Bro jumped on terms and crossed the field to lead early. Taylor gave him a breather at the 800m mark, stacking them up until the home straight, when she gave him the green light to accelerate. With only one other runner keeping in touch, Let's Go Bro won by a length, with the third horse a further 4.5 lengths back. Congrats to his ownership group!

LET'S GO BRO Justifies Favouritism

Talented young mare TERRA MATER trounced her rivals under a masterful Nash Rawiller ride at Randwick on The Ingham Day (9 Dec). Adding another $55,000 to her prizemoney tally plus a BOBS bonus, Terra Mater bullocked her way out from a tight spot on the fence near the rear of the field to fly home and take first prize in the 1200m Midway. The 4-y-o has now had ten starts for 4 wins, 5 seconds and a third for a total of $193,000 including bonuses.

TERRA MATER Wins at Randwick

Comically named 'Look at Moi Kim' stared her rivals down to score her first career win, prevailing at Wyong over 1350m on 29 November. Ridden by Louise Day, Look at Moi Kim jumped well from barrier 9 and sat outside the leader. She moved up to claim the lead before the turn and kicked away in the straight. There were plenty of challengers late, however the big rangy mare kept going to win by 0.6 of a length at the post. At only her sixth start, Look at Moi Kim looks to have further wins in her coming up.

LOOK AT MOI KIM a Rool Winner

Lightly raced mare TERRA MATER started her current campaign with an impressive win over 1100m at Canterbury Park on Friday night. Under the skilful guidance of Nash Rawiller, Terra Mater jumped well and took up a position behind the leader, gradually sliding up to take the lead on swinging for home. She sprinted impressively when asked and once she had put two lengths on the field, Rawiller eased up on her to record her third win in only nine starts, with a further five second placings and a third to her name. Her excited ownership group was there to take in the excitement. Congratulations to all!

TERRA MATER Brings Up Third Win

LITTLE OUTLAW chalked up his first win in 8 starts when scoring at Bathurst on 18 November. Out of a Zabeel mare, in turn out of a Zamazaan mare, Little Outlaw appreciated the step-up in distance to 2000m on the Good 3 track. Ridden by Billy Cray, Little Outlaw sat back in running before circling the field from the 600 metre mark and putting all behind him, winning by 1.33 lengths.

LITTLE OUTLAW Gets the Goods

Star Witness gelding SPATS PAV BOWIE edged towards the $100,000 prize money mark with an impressive win over 1460m at Queanbeyan on 29 October. Taking off at the 1200m mark, he dominated the race from there on in. Jockey Louise Day had put a six length lead on their rivals on the home turn, prompting race caller Anthony Manton to declare, "He's a mile in front! He's in Cooma and the others are in Canberra!" This is Spats Pav Bowie's fourth win from 20 starts, with a further six of those runs being placings.

Starting favourite at just his fourth career start, RINZAI crossed early from barrier 10 for Louise Day, to lead over the 1000m course at Queanbeyan. Never headed, Rinzai beat off all challengers to win by 3/4 length, carrying top weight of 59 kilos. His win followed an eye-catching second at Nowra at 17/1 the start previous, when he gave the short-priced favourite Panic a fright when challenging in the straight.
